New Jersey Off Premise Tasting Position
Come join a talented and committed team hand crafting exceptional beers with a unique national presence. Shmaltz Brewing, America’s largest, smallest, fastest growing, most award-winning, and still the only Jewish-themed Brewing Company is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, beer geek to work part-time (about 10 hours/week – figure about 2-3 tastings a week) doing samplings at liquor stores around Central/North Jersey, and Central/South Jersey. By sampling customers on the Shmaltz Brewing lineup of beers, we hope to increase brand awareness in the market, and see an immediate increase in sales. We are looking for someone with beer knowledge, a love of talking with people, and someone who will represent Shmaltz Brewing Company responsibly in the market!
Shmaltz Brewing Company pay you $75 per sampling event as an outside independent contractor.
We will use your services for no less than 5 and no more than 8 sampling events per month according to the following:
• Shmaltz NYC/Mid-Atlantic Sales Manager Jeremy Siegel will provide you with a list of potential accounts that you can contact to schedule sampling events
• You will be responsible for scheduling the event, procuring samples and the set up/breakdown of the sampling event
• For each event you will complete a Sampling Event Form indicating the following: Date & Location of event, brands sampled, notes on results, sign-off by store/bar manager for the event and any other information Shmaltz may reasonably request from time to time.
• The “Sampling Event” forms need to be turned into Jeremy and/or Zak Davis for his signature and will be sent to (Kohler/Shore Point/Shmaltz) each month for payment. Please keep a copy for your records.
• Shmaltz Brewing Company will also submit any sampling expenses you incur each month. You can use our Monthly Sampling Expense Report or something similar. This will need to be submitted to Jeremy Cowan and must include receipts for all expenses in order for SBC to reimburse you.
• We will need your full name, address, SSN, email address and phone number so we can send payments and issue your 1099.
• You acknowledge you are not an employee of SBC, will be responsible for your own Federal, State and any City/County taxes that are due to such governmental taxing authorities in your area. SBC will provide you with a 1099 within 30 days after the close of each calendar year.
