Insightful Head Brewer needed in Minneapolis

As Minnesota’s largest startup brewery, Insight Brewing Company is looking for a motivated head brewer to manage its world-class beer lineup. The head brewer will manage the brewing team and the brewing process. This position seeks a motivated individual for this who isn’t afraid to push boundaries. The preferred individual should have a passion for beer and the desire to be creative throughout the brewing process. The current beer lineup has already been intricately designed, but there will be opportunities for future recipe formulation and creative ideas.

Essential Duties

• Brewing
• Manage production scheduling
• Maintain accurate production records
• Yeast management
• Manage brewing team
• Perform quality control procedures
• Must have packaging experience (bottles and cans)

Qualifications and Skills

• Two or more years professional brewing experience
• Formal brewing education preferred, but not mandatory
• Experience on a 15 bbl brewery or larger preferred
• Able to lift 55 lbs repeatedly and 165 lbs occasionally
• Able to stand 8-12 hours per day
• Must have excellent communication skills
• General computer and software proficiency
• Able to safely handle cleaning chemicals and brewing equipment
• Ideal candidate is outgoing, has a sense of humor, and willing to go the extra mile
