    Zauber Brewing Co. Is a new start-up microbrewery that is looking for a Head Sales Representative to join and help fill out our team. As the name implies, we specialize in Belgian and German style beers, while having fun being creative and innovative in approach and direction. Zauber is a brewery owned by a team of professionally experienced Brewers and Salespeople with decades of experience, looking for an experienced Salesperson who is seeking an opportunity to catch a growing operation in a fast growing market.

    We have recently received and are assembling our new Newlands (NSI) 20 Bbl Brewery. We have a projected opening of mid/late summer 2014.

    Candidate will be given a lot of support and help to engage the public and help sell out of our volume. He/she will be a key part of developing the brewery/brand and having a voice in how the process evolves.

    This position will oversee the initial roll out of our product to the market, with a very manageable volume initially, and to nurture key relationships within the market. It will also have a high focus on on-premise (bar/restaruant) in the beginning, but will evolve to include off-premise (beer store, grocery) as we begin to package in cans or bottles. The job will evolve within the next year as our volume increases and the number of accounts along with it. Long term as volume and distribution grow the ideal candidate will grow into more of a Distribution/Sales team leader.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    This representative is expected to be the authority on product knowledge, brand positioning and programming in the marketplace. The role will be responsible for bringing the brand strategy to life at the point of connection with the consumer. Candidate must be enthusiastic about the brewing industry and must have passion for great beer.
    Reinforce Zauber Brewing's core values and principles
    Maintain processes for relationships, both internally and externally, for a smooth sales cycle from brewery to customers.
    Establish a process for meeting attendance, note taking and follow up support that drives efficiency and effectiveness, with Zauber team and with customers.
    Be able to achieve specified account goals as provided by Zauber management team.
    Increase points of distribution and number of buying accounts
    Maintain and develop strong positive relationships with key staff, management and owners at key accounts.
    Contact and correspond with accounts to maintain quality control and product pull through the market.
    Help Coordinate and support brewery events (tastings and festivals) that generate brand awareness and consumer sampling, as well as new distribution at target accounts
    Work to manage and refine brand position.
    Monitor upward or downward trends and communicate to Zauber management
    Must be able to travel and work flexible hours/days
    Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

    Our Ideal Candidate Should Have:
    Familiarity with the Columbus, OH market and/or Sales experience in other market.
    A Bachelors degree in business or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a beverage distributor or retailer environment.
    Familiarity with on-premise (bar/restaruant) and/or off-premise (stores) sales environment.
    High familiarity with beer sales for a brewer, distributor is a plus.
    Enthusiasm and personal knowledge of the craft beer industry.

    Skills & Ability:
    Attention to detail, analytical ability, and sense of urgency.
    Willingness to work evenings, weekends and minimal travel.
    Presentation skills including the ability to conduct creative and informative presentations to wholesalers and retailers
    Action oriented, ability to complete tasks with limited supervision
    Organizational and administrative skills
    Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
    Time Management – The ability to effectively budget time for all of one’s daily responsibilities.
    Flexibility – The ability and willingness to adapt to a changing plan/space and work around issues that may arise.
    Ability to work with/around others in a positive and constructive manner.
