Tasting Room Associate
Part-time, San Diego, CA
The White Labs’ Tasting Room Associate is responsible primarily for serving, setting-up, and clean-up of all tasting room functions. He/She is expected to provide exceptional beverage service to all guests. Attendant must follow the company's and ABC alcoholic beverage policies; and is attentive to guests, making them feel welcome, at all times. This is a fast-paced position that will involve constant customer interaction.
This position’s principal duties and required skills include:
-Greets guests entering and exiting in a friendly and courteous manner
-Take beverage orders, provide beverage information, serve beer, & collect money for drinks served.
-Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
-Batch credit card receipts & balance daily receipts
-Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
-Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
-Reports needed repairs, missing articles, damage or mechanical problems and equipment, or unsafe conditions to Lead Tasting Room Associate.
-Serve snacks to customers at the bar
-Fill out order or requisition sheet for beer & supplies.
-Clean bar & floor daily as needed & as part of closing procedure.
-Restock merchandise, apparel and bar supplies.
-Must be comfortable giving presentations to large groups.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
-High School diploma or equivalent
-Must be 21 years of age
-LEADS class within 1 month of hire
-Requires extensive use of hands, reach with hands & arms. Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift, lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
