    Sales Position Available: Mid Atlantic Regional Manager
    Location: ideally NYC metro, but open to NJ or possibly DC

    Shmaltz Brewing, America’s largest, smallest, fastest growing, most award-winning, and still only Jewish-themed Brewing Company, is looking for a full-time Regional Sales Manager to join our tribe in New York and the surrounding region.
    We’re looking for someone who loves to sell, has a passion for craft beer and has vision to make Shmaltz Brewing a career.

    As a small company, each of the Shmaltz Sales Staff is expected to wear a variety of hats, allowing her or him to gain experience in many areas of the industry. With our small and growing operation, you’ll be getting in on the ground floor – but with almost 18 years of company experience as a foundation. The opening in 2013 of our new 50-barrel brewery and tasting room in Upstate NY has given us the opportunity to up our game and bring more amazing Shmaltz beer into the world. And with a group of experienced Regional Managers, a National Sales Manager, and full-time Art, Marketing, and PR Directors, we’ll provide you with all of the resources to make your territory a success. This position will afford you the independence of an entrepreneur, giving you the personal and professional experience of building a business in your sales territory. You will also be expected to be a team player and help the management team achieve company sales goals.

    Our chosen candidate will be responsible for promoting SBC products, while developing, maintaining strong retail, wholesaler, and customer relationships across our Mid Atlantic Region including: New York (Brooklyn, Harlem, Queens), New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland and Delaware. Frequent travel is a crucial and mandatory part of the job – only those willing and able to travel out of home market 1-2 weeks per month should apply.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • 100% focus on selling products and increasing distribution in on- and off-premise retail accounts
    • Set and track quarterly and annual growth goals with wholesalers
    • Gather and process monthly orders from each wholesaler, and manage and track inventory on an ongoing basis
    • Organize, promote, and implement promotions, tastings, demos, and staff education in all types of accounts
    • Maximize use of point of sale materials
    • Coordinate event promotion with Shmaltz’s Marketing Director
    • Actively monitor and participate in various social networking platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
    • Follow up and report appropriately with SBC’s National Sales Manager

    Qualifications:
    • Minimum two years of craft beer sales experience (supplier or distributor experience preferred)
    • Willingness to work flexible and extended hours as needed (including evenings and weekends)
    • Ability to prioritize and stay incredibly organized and self motivated with a very hectic schedule
    • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and social networking
    • Familiarity with Jewish holidays and culture, a plus
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must love craft beer
