    Job Title: Production Team Lead/Manager

    Company Summary:
    Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider was started in Nat’s basement in late 2011. We made 65 barrels in 2012, 650 barrels in 2013, expect to make 5800 barrels in 2014 and see no end to that rapid growth for many years to come. Our mission is to create dry and off-dry hard ciders in a wide range of styles from traditional and hard-to-drink to modern and highly quaffable using heirloom apples and other carefully chosen ingredients, all reflecting the historical position of hard cider in America and the bounty of the Pacific Northwest. We are known for moving fast, taking chances and making ciders like no one else does. We are flavor obsessed.

    In the words of one local newspaper: “Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider is out to destroy everything you know about cider."

    We are continuously hiring to fuel our continued growth. Nat is ready to hand over the reins of the production floor to an experienced and qualified team lead most likely from the brewing industry since cideries are few. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who wants to be a part of our expansion and understands that its necessary to be flexible to thrive in a high growth environment. We are expanding rapidly into diverse markets and are on track for national distribution in the coming year.

    Duties:
    -Schedule and make existing products: ordering ingredients, sourcing suppliers, scheduling equipment and human resources (employees and temps), manage production calendar, supervise employees, engage vendors, perform production tasks, manage fermentations, improve recipes
    -Maintain optimally-low inventory levels: implement JIT, process short and long range order forecasts, receive incoming purchase orders, fill orders, schedule trucks, ship orders, build out nascent warehouse
    -Support continuous exponential growth and business maturity: develop growth plan for facility, equipment, purchases, etc, improve production processes, develop safety standard, osha compliance, document SOPs, develop internship program, develop HACCP plan, develop QA program
    -Create new products/recipes: work with Nat on flavors, ingredients sourcing, schedule into production, describe to sales team
    -Administrative/Communications: compliance reporting, vendor relationships, prepare regular reports to management, work with other staff on special events, represent company at events, participate in strategy discussions, maintain leadership in the cider industry.
    -Maintain facility: preventative maintenance of production floor, offices, vehicles, etc., engage contractors.
    -Other Stuff: leadership, hiring/firing, promotions, solve problems

    Requirements:
    Must love beer and cider.
    Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be comfortable with public speaking.
    Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
    Must have excellent creative problem solving skills.
    Must have working knowledge and troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and building systems.
    Must have extensive experience with spreadsheets and other IT systems.
    Must have at least two years in a team lead/management role in a cidery, brewery or winery (preference in that order) making at least 2500 bbls annually.
    Must be full of self-initiative and the desire to improve your environment.
    Must be physically fit, able to lift 150+ lbs and work long hours.
