Hello,
We are in need of a full time assistant brewer for a new 7bbl taphouse opening sometime in January or February in Chattanooga.
Our system will be a bit of a Frankenbrew set up - 7bbl direct fire kettle (new), converted dairy tanks for MT and HLT, portable pumps...you get the idea. Our cold side will be 3 used 7bbl FV's (hopefully 4 by spring) and 3 used jacketed 7bbl brites (going to 4 brites asap). We will be putting this puzzle together largely on our own, and will be wanting another brain on it as the erector set goes up, as well as while we try to figure out all its quirks during test batching.
Our model is a taphouse serving pints, flights, and growler fills of ale and lager (starting with a pils). We will start distribution on a small scale at a few places in town.
Some things we're looking for:
-reliability
-honesty
-good with the public
-have at least a few years of homebrewing or have worked in some capacity at a brewery
-at least an intermediate understanding of the brewing process and what it entails
-willing and able to learn on the job
-willing to work in all facets of the brewery, including front of house and delivery
-plumbing, electrical, carpentry, welding skills
We want to find someone to grow with us as a new brewery and fully understand the system with us as we learn and adapt to it. We need a passionate brewer with problem solving skills. A lot of experience is not required - if you know the fundamentals, can fix stuff on the go without getting too flustered, want to increase your knowledge, and can work well with another person for long periods of time through occasional rough seas, then you're it!
Pay is negotiable based on experience and will increase accordingly with growth and commitment.
Send a pm if interested and we can go from there.
Thanks for reading and...Cheers!
