Position: Assistant Brewer/Cellarman
Shift: Full Time (slightly flexible schedule available)
Reports to: Head brewer
Rate: Based on experience
Blue Corn Brewery in Santa Fe, NM is seeking an upbeat, forward-thinking Assistant Brewer to aid with daily production functions in the brewhouse, cellar, and packaging with a goal of consistent, clean, and quality beer. We are a growing brewpub that produces 1,000 barrels per year on a 7BBL system. Self-starters will thrive here. Assistant Brewer Job Description
Description includes but is not limited to
• Brewing beer from start to finish
• Transferring beer
• Malt handling
• Organizing
• Brewery tours
• Beer deliveries
• Inventory
• Taxes
• Cleaning (lines, floors, tanks, walls, drains and anything else that needs to be cleaned.) If cleaning isn’t for you either is this job.
• Working festivals
• Interacting with customers
• Record keeping
Requirements
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit enough to run equipment and move kegs
• Ability to multi-task and handle production schedule changes on the fly
• Strong understanding and ability to process brewing calculations
• Ability to handle all aspects of production including but not limited to wort production, vessel CIPs, brewhouse CIPs, brewery operations (gravity, pH, dry hopping, etc.) and handling of raw materials
• Ability to work and concentrate in a loud and noisy environment
• Ability to work standing for as much as 8+ hours per day
• ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly, and move kegs 165 lbs
• be passionate about craft beer
• ability to work in hot, cold and wet environments
• Valid drivers license and transportation
