POSITION: Sales Manager
REPORTS TO: CEO
BREWERY:**Empirical is one of Chicago’s newest craft breweries.* Brewing on a 30 barrel system, Empirical is ramping up to ultimately produce 35,000 barrels per year.* The company is currently distributing with seven distributors in Illinois.* As the name would imply, the brewery has a strong commitment to creativity and experimentation.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:**Minimum of one year professional sales experience, with a demonstrated sales record, in beer sales or a relatable field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED:*
Intermediate understanding of craft beer styles, brands, and the brewing process.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of Illinois liquor codes and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the distributor to sell product to both on and off premise accounts.
Develop marketing materials for distributors and accounts.
Select accounts to target with sales efforts.
Represent brewery at marketing events.
Provide customer service to distributors and accounts.
Reporting on sales activity.
Other duties as assigned.
