Odyssey Beerwerks is a growing brewery located in northern metro Denver.

Odyssey Beerwerks is looking for a Head Brewer for full time work. Duties and responsibilities include brewing, cleaning/sanitizing tanks and other equipment, yeast propagation and lab work, cellar work such as beer transferring and fermentation monitoring and clarification, packaging work such as kegging and canning, recipe formulation, accurate record keeping, inventory monitoring, washing kegs, some preventative maintenance, barrel cleaning and filling, and having a good time. This position will oversee all brewery activities and 1-2 other part-time personnel.
Required:
• Minimum 2 years brewing experience in a production brewery
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong cleaning/sanitizing/CIP/SIP skills
• Able to work effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong yeast handling skills
• Flexible schedule requirements (including some weekends work)
• Able to frequently lift up to 75 pounds and move up to 165 pounds
• Detail oriented
• Communicates well
• A passion for craft beer
Desired:
• Recognized brewing education
• Laboratory knowledge
• Works well with others
• Great recipe development skills
• Great sense of humor and sense of fun
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Organization/management skills
Odyssey Beerwerks is a packaging brewery with canning and kegging capabilities and has started a barrel program. We have a steady growth plan and are looking for a brewer that wants to shine and help push the brewing envelope.
We are looking for a brewer who has a lot to offer and needs a place to showcase those talents.
