Job Summary:
The Brewer is responsible for the production of our beers and will complete all facets of the brewing process including brew house operations, cellar work, packaging, and kickstarting our barrel program. While not required, the ambition to become head brewer is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications:
• Must have professional brewing experience, formal brewing schooling, or a BS in relevant STEM fields (engineering, chemistry, biology, etc.) w/ homebrewing experience
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work both independently and in small work teams
• Strong organizational skills
• A borderline unhealthy obsession w/ cleanliness in the brewery
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and climb stairs, stoop in close quarters, grip and manipulate Tri-clamps several times a day, and read and understand a variety of scientific instruments and calculations. The employee is occasionally required to kneel or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 55 pounds (or more) throughout the day, often in 90F+ heat. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

We are a one year old start-up and, legally speaking, classified as a brewpub in the state of Texas; however, our focus is to continue growing our brand through our draft accounts and small bottling runs for our specialty/limited beers. The brewpub license gives us many advantages in Texas, namely that we can sell beer-to-go. Currently we generate a good portion of our sales on-site through the tap room, so this gives potential brewers a lot of room to be creative in the form of new beers, one-offs, our soon to be launched barrel program, etc. As a small brewery, we encourage this creativity and constant innovation, so things rarely get boring around here.
