New 20 barrel brewery hiring brewers. We are looking for brewers with the passion and drive to make the best beers of all styles, and the spirit to have fun while doing it. Wayzata Brew Works is located in Wayzata, MN literally on the shore of Lake Minnetonka. We have one of the most beautiful taprooms you'll ever see and a clientele and atmosphere that makes going to work a blast! Required:
-Excellent communication skills
-Self-motivated and able to work effectively alone and as part of a team
-Able to work flexible schedule including some nights/weekends
-Management of all tracking and reporting for brewery
-Recipe development
-Yeast propagation and management
-Equipment maintenance
-Cleaning and sanitizing
-Laboratory operations/quality assurance/quality control with a basic knowledge of chemistry and biology
-Writing and following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Experience:
-1-3 years commercial brewing experience
-proven track record of success in recipe development
We prefer:
-Industry specific education
-Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
-Enthusiasm for events and festivals, etc.
-Spirited, informative, and entertaining interaction with taproom clientele
-Experience with start-ups
-Desire to be the best
