Brewer - Washington, DC
Three Stars Brewing Company in Washington DC is looking for a full-time Brewer who will be involved in all aspects of production including brewing, cellaring and packaging. We’re looking to add to our already outstanding team with people that possess a passion for making great beer with an emphasis on innovation and quality. We have many opportunities for specialization such working with dedicated Barrel and Sour programs, ongoing Foeder beers, new canning line and active pilot recipe development program.
Ideal candidate will have the following:
• Strong work ethic
• Team oriented but also independently driven
• Strong problem solving ability
• Strong attention to detail
• Good cleaning and sanitizing abilities
• Ability to multi-task and work in a high paced environment
• Experience in yeast handling
• 1+ years brewery experience minimum
• Willing and looking to learn
Additional desired skills
• Barrel/mixed fermentation/Foeder experience
• Canning line experience
• Science/Lab background
• Mechanical background or ability
• Production planning
Physical requirements:
• Ability to lift 55+ lbs repeatedly
• Ability to crouch, kneel, stoop, crawl and other brewing/cellaring maneuvers into tight spaces repeatedly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in noisy environment
• Ability to work in hot or cold environment for prolonged periods of time
Position reports directly to Director of Production Operations. Successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of brewery operations from brewing to packaging.
