Production Brewer Position
Job Description: A production brewer at Everybody’s Brewing is a dynamic position that can involve brew house operation, tank and equipment cleaning and sanitation, yeast management, beer cellaring, beer packaging, keg washing, order picking and shipping, facility maintenance and quality control.
Job Details:
• Operate 15 Bbl, 3 vessel brew house.
o Pick malt
o Mill malt
o Mash, lauder, boil, whirlpool, knock-out
o Grain-out
• Clean In Place (CIP) brew house
• CIP fermenters, bright beer tanks, heat exchanger, hoses and other brewery equipment.
• Prepare bright tanks for beer transfers.
• Clean kegs with automated keg washer.
• Monitor fermentations.
• Dry hop, fine, transfer beer, and carbonate beer.
• Package beer.
o Manual kegging
o Assist mobile bottling packaging
o Assist in mobile canning packaging
• Pick and assemble distributor orders.
• Unload and load trucks with forklift.
• Clean and organize brewery space.
• Maintain beer cooler stock for pub.
• Be available for brewery events.
Basic Physical Requirements
• Able to lift and move 50lbs repetitively.
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to work in hot and cold environments.
• Able to crouch or stoop repetitively.
• Able to work with hands to perform repetitive tasks.
Qualifications for Perfect Candidate
• At least 1 year professional brewing experience.
• Knowledge of equipment cleaning and sanitation.
• Understanding of aseptic technique.
• Passion for beer and brewing.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (morning shift or evening shift).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Able to work as a team member.
• Capable of understanding and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Able to accomplish tasks w/o immediate supervision.
• Good at troubleshooting.
• Basic computer skills.
• Live within 30 minutes of the brewery.
