    Concord, NH

    We are a start-up microbrewery located in the historic downtown capital of New Hampshire. We have a small team of skilled and passionate people dedicated to producing the highest quality beers. We are currently seeking an experienced, creative and hard-working brewer to join and lead our team.
    We are awaiting delivery of a high quality 15bbl North American made steam-heated brewing system in September and plan to begin operations in the weeks that follow. Our 3,500 sqft facility in a historic mill building will have a tasting room, and a full brewery where we will keg and package beer for our underserved local market with a near term capacity of 3,000-5,000 bbl/year. We are looking for someone who wants to join our team early to shape the beer recipes, build the brand and play an important role in our opening, growth and expansion. The head time brewer will wear many hats and work with our other ABG trained brewer and our team on all aspects of beer production, packaging, quality control/process refinement and will interact with customers within the brewery and be an ambassador for our brand outside as well.

    Responsibilities:
    - Capable in every aspect of brewing, including recipe formulation, all-grain brewing, cellaring and packaging (kegs, bottles and/or cans)
    - Carry out all day-to-day operations in a routine and timely manner in order to meet a growing production schedule
    - Proficiency maintaining accurate batch records, inventory maintenance and ordering
    - Stay up-to-date on brewing industry trends and developments
    - Help establish and maintain all lab and related quality control protocols
    - Keep the brewery and laboratory environment clean and well-organized
    - Proficiency with laboratory equipment, draft system and yeast collection
    - Business minded to perform scheduling, maintain inventory levels, track and manage costs
    - Participate in tours, tastings and special events including representing the brand at beer festivals, off-site tastings and events

    - Passion for craft beer and brewing, hard-working, self-motivated and a positive attitude
    - Highly efficient with his/her use of time, with an ability to multitask and prioritize in order to meet production goals
    - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    - Attention to detail
    - Performs well in a team environment, with a willingness to teach and mentor less experienced seasonal and other staff
    - Possesses developed sensory skills with an ability to critically assess the beers and detect common flaws
    - Self-starter who can excel at a growing brewery

    Job Requirements/Skills:
    - 2 years of experience or 1 year professional experience with formal brewery training/education
    - Possess a valid driver’s license and have experience with a fork lift or pallet mover
    - Ability to lift and carry up to 55lbs repeatedly, climb a ladder and ability to move a half barrel keg using traditional methods
    - Computer proficiency including with Word and Excel
    - Willing to live/relocate to New Hampshire within reasonable distance from the brewery

    This head brewer position often requires irregular shifts, overtime and weekend work during peak times and bottling. We are a locally focused and owned equal opportunity employer with competitive salary and benefits.
