Spencer Devon Brewing located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg VA is searching for a new head brewer. We have been open a little over a year and brewed approximately 650 bbls our first year with the ability to reach around 1000 this year.
Head Brewer is responsible for all operations in the brewery to include but not limited to: Production management, recipe development, quality assurance, distribution management and all packaging. This position has autonomy in most decisions in the brewery and must be filled by not only a talented brewer, but a creative visionary.
The brewery is the main focus of Spencer Devon Brewing; however, the organization includes a full kitchen. This feature allows the brewery to be directly involved in food pairings and beer dinners that showcase not only the beer produced, but the plates made in the kitchen. The kitchen is community oriented and sources approximately 80% of its ingredients directly from local farms. The brewery as a whole is hyper driven to be a functioning and contributing member of the community.
