Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer or COO to oversee our organization’s ongoing operations and procedures. You will be the company’s second-in-command and responsible for the efficiency of business.
The COO is a key member of the senior management team, reporting only to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Ownership. You’ll have to maintain control of diverse business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.
The goal is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Identify, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative financial, operational, behavioral, and administrative data from multiple sources and synthesize results, measurements, and key performance metrics into reports to the CEO on a regular basis
• Oversee Finance Department to work on projections and budgets
• Create standardized methods for quantifying and articulating qualitative information, including root causes, inflection opportunities, and solutions for key business problems relating to the data.
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Adhere to a culture of professionalism, flexibility, operational excellence and drive for results.
• Oversee daily operations of the company and all departments (Production, Distribution, Marketing, Sales, Finance, etc.)
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
• Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances, etc.)
• Manage relationships with partners/vendors
• Work closely with production team on inventory management, personnel and purchasing
• Coordinate and lead annual company-wide retreat
Qualifications
• Proven experience as COO or relevant role
• Understanding of all business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Experience in fundraising will be a plus
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
• Working knowledge of IT/Business infrastructure and MS Office
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
• BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft 365/Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
• Experience using VIP iDIG and Microsoft Great Plains
• A passion for craft beer and knowledge of the craft beer industry’s laws/best practices is a plus
Compensation/Benefit Structure:
• Salary DOE

Additional REQUIREMENTS to consider before applying
• The position will be based in Buellton, CA with occasional travel required.
• The selected candidate will be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment background AND Driver's License check. You must be at least 21 years old to work for Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co.
