Position; Brewer
We are currently looking for a full time brewer to work in our IPA forward 30 BBL Brewhouse. We would like to find someone that can complement our staff with your experience and skillset.
Job Description;
• Ability to perform all Brewhouse operations
• Start up and shutdown of all facility processes
• Milling, hop additions, anti-foam additions
• Wort & beer transfers
• Management of Fermenters
• Yeast pitching
• CIP & sanitization
• Temperature monitoring
• Accurate daily record keeping
• Quality monitoring
• Basic brewery, facility & equipment maintenance
• Keg washing & filling
• Canning line operation
• Raw Material and Finished product handling (forklift and other equipment operation required)
• Warehouse responsibilities load and unload trucks
Requirements & Qualifications
Strong passion for beer and the work it takes to make it
Ability to multi task and adjust to fluid changes in priorities
QUALITY MINDED & Attention to detail
Great palate for beer with sharp olfactory and taste senses
3+ years of experience performing above duties at small to midsize brewery / brewing education
Safety conscious
Must be able to be flexible with schedule when needed
Team player with aptitude to combine their efforts with the rest of NEBCO team to achieve the company goals
Attend events for the company and speak to customers about the beers you make @ NEBCO
Full mobility and physical capability to preform safely and effectively work in a brewery environment including;
Must be able to lift 60 lbs to shoulder height repetitively
Ability to walk up and down stairs throughout daily shift
Stooping, bending, crouching and reaching
Manual manipulation of small parts and equipment necessary to do the job
