    The Opportunity
    The Prince Edward Island Brewing Company, located in Prince Edward Island, Canada, was founded in 1997 in the provinces capital, Charlottetown. We are currently seeking a Brewer to join their fast growing operation.
    The PEIBC distributes the Gahan line of Handcrafted ales, Beach Chair Lager, as well as notable premium beer products; including four gold medal winners of the 2016 Canadian Brewing Awards and Conference, Setting Day Saison, Sir John A Honey Wheat Ale, Rouges Roost IPA and Vic Park American Pale Ale.

    The Requirements
    • Experience working in a production brewery and/or brewpub
    • Basic knowledge of the brewing fundamentals and processes.
    • Work experience with another commercial brewery and/or a formal brewing education
    • Strong work ethic and problem solving skills
    • Careful attention to detail, a commitment both to efficient, effective work both individually and as part of a team
    • Requires the ability to work in a fast paced, confined, wet, loud environment on one’s feet for most of the day and repeatedly lift up to 30KG. BUT, we will play some sweet tunes the entire time we promise.
    • Must have a flexible schedule; willing to work a mix of days, nights, weekends and be willing to work overtime hours on occasion. (extra production, delays and unexpected events)
    • Must be at least 19 years of age and no more then 119

    The Duties
    • Brewhouse operations that include: grain handling, wort production, spent grain handling, wort cooling, and cleaning
• All elements of cellar operations that include: yeast collection, beer transfers, dry hopping, carbonation, tank cleaning and sanitation, general maintenance and cleaning

    • May be packaging duties as required, but not much. We promise.

    • Maintaining the safety and effective operation of brewery equipment and other related machinery
• Assisting quality control program that include: Yeast management, cell counting, viability testing, and sampling tanks in accordance with the QC program.

    • Operating pallet jacks and hand trucks and assisting with shipping/receiving of raw materials and equipment,.
• Have a basic understanding of Excel, Word, and other programs for brewery functions


    • Following standard operation procedures, and aiding with continuing development of procedures to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability.
    • Good cleaning and sanitizing knowledge and following proper cleaning protocols

    • All elements of safety procedures including: following of proper SOP’s for handling of brewery chemicals


    The Wage
    $15.00-18.00/hourly
