Job Summary:
Saint Paul’s Flat Earth Brewing is seeking a full-time, highly motivated and skilled brewer to join our team in Saint Paul, MN to assist with all brewery operations which include various aspects of the brewing and packaging process. The position will require, but is not limited to: transferring beer, brewhouse operations, keg cleaning and filling, yeast handling and maintenance, can packaging and barrel filling/emptying/maintenance. This individual will follow brewing procedures and recipes established for and regulated by Saint Paul’s Flat Earth Brewing. Candidates must share Flat Earth’s commitments to quality and passion for the beer.
Job Duties:
• CIP of fermentation and conditioning tanks.
• Beer clarification to include filtering.
• Packaging duties (kegs/cans).
• Wort production.
• Shipping/Receiving.
• General cleaning.
• Forklift operations.
• Represent Saint Paul’s Flat Earth at events, festivals, and promotions.
• Assist in producing and packaging quality beer.
• Provide top notch service to all customers.
• Assist in support of taproom staff as it relates to beer and brewery education.
• Represent Saint Paul’s Flat Earth in a professional manner always.
Job Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year brewery experience.
• Candidate with lab experience preferred, but not required.
• Some level of formal brewing education or current enrollment preferred, but not required.
• Get it done no matter what attitude.
• Absolute passion for brewing and beer.
• Ability to lift 55 pound sacks of grain and lift/ maneuver up to 165 pounds.
• Ability to work any shift at any time if needed Desire to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibility.
• High School diploma or GED/some college preferred.
