Fall Brewing Company is a rapidly growing brewery in San Diego and is looking to add an Assistant Brewer to our team. Located in North Park, Fall currently produces approximately 6000bbls a year on a 15bbl Premier Stainless Brewhouse.
Job Responsbilities
Keg cleaning/filling
Assist with set-up, breakdown, and cleaning of beer lines.
Assist with yeast disposal and disposal other spent raw materials.
As directed, assist Lead Brewer with brewery operations.
Perform cleaning and sanitation activities, including cleaning of tanks and fermenters, hoses, equipment and equipment parts, floors, and other related housekeeping duties.
Safely operate all equipment and follow all standard operating procedures for equipment use.
Assist with packaging operations as needed, including bottling on a 6 head Meheen, kegging, dock work, and loading beer, and transportation.
Follow existing recipes for staple beers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a pulse.
Prior work experience brewing and/or home-brewing or working in a manufacturing environment.
Possess working knowledge of beer and craft beer industry.
Possess awareness of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
Able to lift heavy objects (25 – 50 lbs.) on a continual basis. Able to transport up to 160 lbs. (full kegs) with assistance. Able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for up to 8 hours per shift. Able to work in crowded and confined spaces.
Able to maintain excellent customer service and high level of ethics while working under pressure. (Get it?)
