Are you ready to be a Head Brewer? Or are you already there but desire additional creative freedom? Coachella Valley Brewing Co is a 4 yr old brewery looking to invest in the right person to become the Head Brewer in Thousand Palms, CA. We are looking for someone who is honest and hardworking with a passion for beer and quality. The qualified candidate will possess a minimum of the skills and experience discussed below.
Expectations:
-Ownership of the brewing process, quality control, and continuous improvements
-Recipe development with the ability to create recipes on a 17 barrel system
-Manage and continue to develop the existing barrel aged beer program
-Maintain all brewing and packaging records
-Yeast management including cropping, starters, pitch rates, cell counts, generation tracking
-Manage cellar operations including tank transfers and sanitation of all brewery components
-Equipment maintenance with the ability to troubleshoot
-Ability to coordinate with the sales team and distribution forecasting
-Comfortable working with chemicals and adhere to safety, environmental and brewhouse standards
-Must maintain a spotless brewhouse and sanitization process
-Leadership skills and willingness to manage and lead the brewhouse staff
-Must be able to think outside the box
-Must be able and willing to work a variable shift schedule
Must have:
-2+ years experience in production brewing
-Communicate effectively and be a team player
-Good problem solving skills
-Lift 60 lbs. and move 165 lbs. efficiently and effectively
-Capable of standing for long periods of time
-Able to work in an environment with lots of noise
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary commensurate with experience. Bonuses based on performance.
