Ground Breaker Gastropub is 100% dedicated gluten-free serving beer and food. We are looking to hire an Assistant Brewer to join our team!
The Assistant Brewer will assist in the Operation and upkeep of equipment and maintain quality control throughout all aspects of the Brewing and Cellar processes. Assistant Brewers will be responsible for assisting the Head Brewer in keeping production running smoothly and maintaining all beers at optimal quality levels. Hours may vary to align with Production needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Brewing Duties and Responsibilities:
• Complete brewing process in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintaining the use of standard operating procedures unless otherwise instructed.
• Ensure our products meets our standards of the highest quality.
• Ensure supply of raw materials and ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas in the brew house.
Cellar Department:
• Operate cellar equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow SOP’s to meet quality specifications and ensure proper keg line operations.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform all tasks in an efficient, safe and productive manner.
• Maintain inventory as needed. Report and low levels of inventory to your supervisor when necessary.
• Monitor gravities, temperatures, and carbonations daily.
• Be responsible for ensuring that security procedures are adhered to throughout the building.
• Communicate regularly and efficiently with staff.
• Arrive to each shift on time with a positive attitude.
• Assist other departments when necessary, including but not limited to Cellars, Packaging, and Quality Control.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1-year experience in the food industry.
• Have a basic understanding of Excel, Word, Access and other programs for brewery functions.
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
