Belmont Brewing Company, Long Beach, CA is looking to hire a brewer. We are looking to add a talented and motivated brewer to our team. This is an exciting opportunity that will involve a lot of responsibility and opportunity for growth. We will train the right candidate to run a small brewery.
The ideal candidate will have:
• No experience needed. Home or professional brewing experience preferred.
• Must be interested in learning all aspects of production in a small brewery.
• A desire to clean anything and everything.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, email, in house messaging), and proficiency in filling out appropriate paperwork
• Strong work ethic and be able to work within a team AND independently with a great attitude
• Desire to learn and willingness to contribute where needed.
Typical physical requirements will apply, including:
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift 55 pound grain bags, 44 pound hop boxes, maneuver full kegs, maneuver fill
• Ability to ascend and descend staircase and/or ladder repeatedly throughout shift and stoop in close quarters
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors. Will work with chemicals
• Ability to work in a moderate noise level and in a fast paced environment
