Personal Best Brewing will be opening late summer 2021. We are looking for a Brewer to work with the Owner/Head Brewer and Brewing Assistant.
**Fruited and sour experience a big plus**

Salary:
$62,000 base (with additional bonus and equity opportunities)
Benefits:
$2,500 relocation allowance

Job Description
The brewer will work 40 hours a week with the head brewer and brewing assistant; year 1 target volume is 1,000 bbls; full ramped up target volume is 2,500 bbls annually. Brewer will have the opportunity to develop recipes, beer names, and see their own beers through from conception to retail sale.
We have also acquired a separate building next door that will house our mixed fermentation and barrel program. There is a huge opportunity for a brewer who is interested in being involved in developing this side of the business. This program will function autonomously from the main building which will focus on higher volume lager/IPA production.
This candidate should have the following experience
-Minimum 2 years at the brewer level
-Has worked on a minimum 7bbl system
-Has forklift operating experience
-Preferably has canning experience
-Is comfortable discussing beers with guests in taproom
-Is able to regularly travel locally and nationally for collaborations
-Is familiar with and able to troubleshoot all brewery equipment
Overview
We have built a brand new brewery in a gut-renovated 8,000 square foot building in the middle of downtown Ithaca, NY. The brewery also features over 20,000 sqft of outdoor space. We have purchased a brand new 10bbl 3-vessel SS Brewtech system and have a 1bbl SS Brewtech pilot system. We are fully licensed and able to begin contract brewing immediately. We plan on brewing on the new brew system in our space by early July. The brewer position can start as soon as May 15 if you are interested in being involved in the contract brewing process.
