Ghost Town Brewing is encouraging application for a paid internship to assist our injured lead brewer. This injury gives us the opportunity to welcome anyone to our industry, even if they previously felt like an outsider, or have not seen an obvious path to becoming a production worker or brewer. Whoever is chosen will assist in daily brewing and cellar duties. They will be taught and regularly assist in the tasks and methods of milling, mashing, wort separation, boiling, chilling, fermentation and cleaning. They will be expected to step in when the lead brewer is not physically able. These necessary duties will be predetermined. However, the intern will decide what other knowledge and skills they may gain from this experience. We will offer training in any areas of barrel aging, quality control, yeast management, packaging, etc. Understand that your temporary employment has no guarantee of becoming long-term here at Ghost Town. However, if you meet all our expectations, you will be considered for relevant open positions in the future. What is most valuable for you, the aspiring beer professional, are the practical exposure and valuable connections you will make in craft beer.
