Assistant Brewer Wanted in Mount Pleasant, SC

Hobcaw Brewing Company is a small, family owned brewery opened late 2020 in beautiful Mount Pleasant, South Carolina just outside of downtown Charleston. We are a beach town brewery with a lively and family friendly taproom. We are currently in line to up production, so we are looking to hire an assistant! This job will start out as a part time 25-30 hour position, but will quickly transition to full time. No experience necessary as on the job training will be provided; however, the right candidate will have the following qualities:

-- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn
-- Ability to think critically and work unsupervised
-- Unafraid and happy to solve problems
-- Ability to maintain detailed documentation throughout the brewing processes
-- Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds repeatedly
-- Comfortable standing on your feet for long periods of time 5+ hours
-- Unfazed by working in a cramped, loud, wet, and unconditioned environment
-- Be professional and respectful with all staff and customers
-- Be meticulous and have high standard for your work

Job Requirements:

-- Material management/measurement per recipes
-- Safely handle hazardous chemicals and pressurized vessels
-- Assisting packaging of Hobcaw beer
-- Tank cleaning and sanitation
-- Removing grain from mash tun
-- Cellar and cold box cleaning
-- General cleaning
-- Dry hopping/Yeast removal
-- Taking readings on beer through fermentation and packaging
