Quality Manager - Lake Travis Brewing Co. - Austin TX

Lake Travis Brewing Co. is a rapidly growing contract facility in Austin, TX. We are expanding our operations and hiring an experienced Quality Manager to head up our QA/QC program. The primary duty of this position is to develop and implement procedures and quality standards that ensure all products produced at Lake Travis Brewing are consistent and in spec. This position comes with a competitive salary, PTO, and benefits.

The ideal candidate for the QC Manager position is proactive, motivated and is an independent worker that requires little direction.

Job duties include:

• Continual testing of in-process and packaged product, including but not limited to: DO, TPO, carbonation volumes, seams, and ABV
• Managing the health of multiple house yeast strains
• Monitoring processes and logging production data
• Evaluating and cataloging raw ingredients and finished goods
• Use of lab equipment to measure TPO, color and IBUs in all finished products
• Creating and implementing staff SOPs that ensure quality and consistency
• Managing the purchase, implementation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Working as a cohesive member of a tight-knit team.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years lab experience, preferably in brewery setting
• Extremely organized
