Covington Brewhouse, located in historic downtown Covington Louisiana opened in 2005. We are looking for somebody to take us to the next level.
Our Sales Representative's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing new business for Covington Brewhouse, on and off premise sales; identifying and assisting with the planning and organization of Covington's participation in events such as craft beer / brewer's festivals and charity events; coordination and presentation of Covington's product portfolio to accounts and ensuring that all territory accounts are contacted regularly. Develop new markets and build relationships.
A passion for excellent craft beer is a must. Plan on learning something new each day and using it to cultivate raving fans. We are looking for motivated, fun and creative people willing to share their passion for craft beer and are connected to the craft beer community.
Professional sales experience is highly preferred as is exposure to the hospitality industry or retail stores that feature beer. You will spend most of your day working with restaurants, bars and grocery stores along with constant communication with distributors.
Organization and planning is an important quality. Building a sales team and working with distributors and coordinating with production to forecast the release of seasonals, new beers and promotions will be your focus.

Some Details:
* The team at Covington works hard and plays hard; you will be expected to keep up in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment while maintaining focus and a sense of humor
* Knowledge of Craft Beer is a must! A familiarity with Craft Beer and the industry is required. Industry experience, whether working in Craft Beer sales and distribution, Craft Beer-centric hospitality establishments, or a brewery, is preferred.
* Self-motivation and ability to work with limited amount of direction both independently and as part of a team to accomplish goals
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to speak confidently and professionally in front of groups while conducting tastings, training and promotions
* Passionate work ethic and demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
* Conduct server / bartender education sessions, beer tastings and beer-themed dinners
* Be responsible for allocation and use of point of sale materials and ensure proper merchandising of all accounts
* Plan and execute On-Premise promotions as required (This will include some evenings and weekend festivals)
* Develop and maintain close relationships with key accounts both On and Off-Premise
* Track and monitor progress in all identified accounts while meeting / exceeding set goals
* Passionate work ethic and demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities
* Ability to interface with various levels of management, at retail and within Covington Brewhouse
* Secure a passing grade on the Certified Beer Server test located at Cicerone.org<http://Cicerone.org> within 30 days of employment. Ability to achieve Certified Cicerone status on an agreed upon timeline

* Excellent problem-solving skills and mathematically proficient with the ability to communicate effectively in writing

* Knowledge of draught systems, basic beer merchandising and point of sale placement are desirable
* Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
