Packaging / Warehouse Flex
Bearded Iris Brewing in Nashville, TN is looking for a highly-motivated, hard-working, positive person to join our fast-growing team. This position is for individuals with heightened attention to detail and a focus on achieving excellence in quality. It’s essential that our team members can think critically, problem solve, execute tasks precisely in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively. A desire to research, learn, and constantly improve your knowledge base and skill set is also a must. Bearded Iris is a team of fun, motivated people that are passionate about their work and constantly learning. We have a casual work environment with lots of autonomy and a team chemistry that’s characterized by respect for one another
Main Responsibilities:
• Canning
o Aid in weekly canning of beers
o Ensure all packaging materials are in stock and ready for weekly packaging runs
o Assist in operating filler
o Capture quality control data
• Kegging & Packaging Prep
o Aid in weekly scheduled kegging of beers
o Ensure all cooperage is clean and ready to receive product according to BIBCO packaging plan
o Ensure all kegging-related packaging materials are in stock and ready for weekly keg runs
• Maintenance
o Participate in maintenance projects throughout various areas of the brewery
• Facility Management
o Assist in managing input and output of cooler
o Ensure cleanliness & upkeep of the packaging area, fermentation cellar, and all related areas (part storage, raw mat. storage, loading dock, etc.)
o Participate in various other cleaning projects throughout the brewery as needed
• Shipping/Receiving
o Prepare outgoing orders in an organized manner
o Organize invoices, BOLs and other assorted paperwork for record keeping
o Load outgoing orders onto distributor trucks
o Unload any incoming shipments from suppliers and put items away for storage in a well-organized manner
o Assist in maintaining a safe and organized warehouse
- Forklift experience not required but appreciated
• Ekos
o Learn to navigate all packaging related functions in Ekos brewing software
o Keep any packaging related entries in Ekos brewing software up to date
Ancillary Responsibilities (that might require training):
• Cellar
o Tank Handling
