    We are looking for an OVERNIGHT Packaging Operator (OP1) to join our team! Your position will work as the lead operator of the packaging team.     SUMMARY: The Overnight Packaging Operator 1 (NightOP1) is responsible for running equipment on our semi-automated bottling, canning, and kegging lines. The OP1 takes direction from the assigned Machine Head, Shift Supervisor, and Packaging Manager. Areas of responsibility include cleaning, sanitizing, operating portions of our packaging equipment and tanks, and operating forklifts. Under supervision of Machine Head or Shift Supervisor, OP1 also assists with changing packaging equipment formats, and adjusting basic mechanical systems. This position will rotate on to the overnight shift (8 pm - 4:30 am) for a period of roughly 6 months, or as scheduled by the manager. When scheduled for the over night shift, the employee will receive overnight differential shift pay. This position needs to be self motivated and self directed, as they will often be working independently.

    CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Operation of assigned work center on our bottling, canning, and kegging lines.
    • Following Standard Operating Procedures and safe work practices.
    • Assisting with set-up, breakdown, sanitation, and operation of packaging lines and supporting equipment.
    • Closely working with Machine Head to make operational adjustments of packaging equipment for various package types to ensure that finished goods meet our quality standards.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
    • Routine packaging quality control checks.
    • Filling out packaging logs and work orders in real time.
    • Forklift operation Staging pallets of materials and finished goods, wrapping and labelling pallets (tag printing).
    • Receiving deliveries and accurately recording receipts.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Experience running packaging lines. (2 years preferred)
    • Ability to take written and verbal direction in a team environment.
    • Ability to drive a forklift.
    • Basic mechanical aptitude.
    • Basic computer literacy.
    REQUIREMENTS:
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    • Must be over 21 years of age (for Quality Control).

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
    • Stand for long periods of time.
    • Safely lift and move 50-75 lbs. regularly, can manipulate 165lbs with assistance.
    • Walk, kneel, bend, stand, and climb stairs.
    • Utilize visual acuity to operate equipment and read technical information.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
    • This is a fast-paced environment and the noise level is usually moderate to high.
    Work environment can be cold, hot, wet and noisy.
