Everybody’s Brewing, a high-volume brew pub in White Salmon, WA, is seeking a self-motivated, experienced Kitchen Manager with high energy and a passion for food and beer. We are looking for someone that can quickly adapt to and support our existing systems, and who leads by example. The ideal candidate has a flexible schedule with open availability, enjoys working as part of a team, and wants to learn and grow personally and professionally, while providing the best guest experience on every occasion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High-volume kitchen management experience
• Two or more years of experience in varied kitchen positions including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter
• Basic business math and accounting skills
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Calm demeanor and ability to coach/mentor
• Basic computer skills (including Excel and food costing procedures)
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Honesty and a high level of professional and personal integrity
• Passion for producing high-quality beer and food, and providing excellent guest experiences
• Able to stand, reach, bend, and stoop for lengths of time
• Willingness to listen to coaching
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee all aspects of kitchen and food management to ensure quality, safety, and cost effectiveness
• Communicate effectively with upper management, peers, staff and customers
• Oversee and guide Assistant Kitchen Manager and all "back of house" (BOH) staff
• Aid in interviewing and hiring staff; help conduct performance reviews
• Effectively train and motivate staff • Prepare and lead monthly BOH meetings
• Create weekly schedule with attention to business volume, labor percentage, and employee requests
• Responsible for all kitchen supply ordering and inventory • Manage within the policies and guidelines of Everybody’s Brewing to ensure excellent guest and employee experience and maximize profit
• Present oneself in a professional manner
• Maintain a passion for high quality beer and food
COMPENSATION:
• Salaried position (DOE)
• Paid vacation
• Sick pay accrual
• Enrollment in Simple IRA after six months of employment
