Doylestown Brewing opened in June of 2011 and has seen great growth in the last 2 years. It is family owned and operated. Initially we started out contract brewing and now we are opening a 7 bbl brewhouse and pub. The brewer will have a great opportunity to experiment and produce new beers in one of the most unique brewery / brew pubs around.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate with high media exposure.
The Brewer will be involved in every aspect of production and brewery operations. The candidate must have:
*Min 2 years professional brewing experience required.
*High quality standards throughout entire brewing process.
*Ability to keep brewery in clean condition on a daily basis
*A minimum of two years working experience in a brewery or brew pub with working knowledge of all aspects of beer production
*Working knowledge of yeast handling
*Great mechanical and problem solving skills
*Ability to keep cool and think clearly under pressure
*A self starter. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
*Organized and able to provide accurate reporting to sales team and management
*A friendly demeanor and able to assist others when needed
*Ability to educate others on brewing process and techniques
*Well-rounded management skills
*Ability to represent the brewery at festivals, tours, and conferences in a professional and respectable manner
*The ability to lift 55 lbs above waste and move 165 lbs.
*Able to work on your feet eight hours a day including bending, squatting, twisting, and lifting in hot conditions
*A flexible schedule including occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
The candidate must live within, or be willing to relocate to a reasonable commuting distance of Doylestown, PA
Compensation will be competitive within the industry and commensurate with experience.
