    Regional Account Managers

    Do you love hard cider and craft beer? Do you want to craft a career in this fast growing segment of the alcoholic beverage marketplace? Things are happening fast in craft cider and Vermont Hard Cider Company, maker of Woodchuck Hard Cider, is leading the charge through deeper innovation and authenticity in the craft category. We are seeking a passionate and energetic Regional Account Manager with a love for craft beverages, and Woodchuck, to join our sales team.
    You will be responsible for the sales and retail development of the assigned brand portfolio within the territory of the West Region.

    Responsibilities include:
    • Primary responsibility is to call on Chain Buyers to develop our product portfolio and at the same time the Craft Cider Segment for the chain.
    • Develop annual plans and budgets for assigned accounts; to include new items, pricing, ad and program features
    • Work with National Account Managers, Region Director and Marketing to create programs for assigned accounts; sell programs to accounts
    • Establish execution expectations for all national accounts programs with assigned distributors
    • Manage all internal and external communication for assigned accounts
    • Develop programs that will drive customer performance
    • Track and measure current distribution, programming and pricing at retail level
    • Coordinate associated account execution plans with field sales team and wholesalers
    • Address issues related to assigned accounts as they arise
    • Meet face-to-face with wholesalers and sales team members to coordinate plans and execution; Support program execution
    • Conduct quarterly and annual reviews with Retailers and Key Wholesaler Key Account Departments
    • Participate in the retail survey process, including outlet identification, outlet visit and analysis
    • Work-with local distributors to improve retail performance in your customers
    • Measure account performance; identify and act upon improvement opportunities, as appropriate.
    • Utilize VIP/ IDIG to measure and evaluate program effectiveness at all assigned accounts.
    Requirements include:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • The ideal candidate would have both brewer and beer wholesaler experience. Candidates having non-beer but other beverage experience can be considered as long as they have represented a supplier calling on chain accounts
    • Candidates must also possess strong administrative organizational and computer skills.
    • Candidate may also have a minimum of five to seven years of work experience in a traditional packaged good field organization (Soft Drink, Beer, wine, liquor). Candidate must also have strong analytical skills, field experience
    • Travel will be required (Average 10 days per month)
    • In summary- leader, high energy, analytical, creative, chain experience required.
