JOB TITLE: QC Laboratory Technician

REPORTS TO: QC Laboratory Manager

WAGE: Depends on Experience
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
pFriem Family Brewers is a quality minded and fast growing artisanal brewery looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our QC Laboratory in Hood River, Oregon. This position will be responsible for assisting with day to day laboratory tasks which will ensure that pFriem Family Brewers continues to produce and maintain high quality standards for our beer. We are looking for a talented Laboratory Technician that is knowledgable, highly organized, and super passionate about craft beer.
The successful candidate for this position is someone who has a strong background in the biological sciences, specifically laboratory experience in biology, microbiology, molecular biology or chemistry. A thorough understanding of the brewing process and a willingness to work as a critical member of a our team devoted to the production of high quality beer is a must.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
-B.A. or B.S. in the Biological Sciences.
-Experience working in a laboratory setting, with emphasis on aseptic technique, microscopy, and basic molecular biology tools. Microbiology laboratory experience is highly preferred.
-Strong knowledge of all aspects of beer making.
-Self-driven, highly organized with precise attention to detail and accordance to SOPs.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
-Desire to work as a part of a passionate team committed to making the best beer possible.
-Flexible with hours and scheduling.
-Solid references in the sciences are required.
