    DC Brau Brewing Company in Washington, DC, seeks a brilliant, highly motivated, and supremely organized Human Resources and Administrative Manager to join our team!

    Since our launch in the spring of 2011, DC Brau Brewing Company has become a competitive regional brand in the DC/MD/VA craft beer market. As we grow we are looking to increase our capacity to support and provide leadership for DC Brau’s overall company operations and Administrative Team. We currently seek to hire an experienced Human Resources and Administrative Manager (HRAM).

    The HRAM will be responsible for providing overall leadership for the Administrative Team and will support the Executive and other teams by performing a variety of Human Resources and administrative duties. This professional is expected to work closely with the Executive Team to ensure fluid operations and management of DC Brau’s organizational infrastructure. We are looking for applicants with relevant experience in office operations including bookkeeping, human resources, and clerical support. This is NOT an entry-level position. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in further developing themselves professionally in a fast paced and rapidly expanding company.

    Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Protects the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
    • Assists with the development and administration of programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
    • Complies with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting and documentation requirements.
    • Assists in the development and maintains HR systems and procedures including documentation. Systems include but are not limited to hiring, injury and illness documentation, benefits, employee policies, operations policies, performance and development, and others.
    • Directly oversees, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the administrative support team including the Receptionist.
    • Organizes and monitors office operations and procedures such as bookkeeping, preparation of payrolls, personnel, information management, filing systems, requisition of supplies, and other clerical services.
    • Maximizes office productivity through proficient use of appropriate software applications.
    • Maintains files, documentation, and procedures for all administrative and other relevant company activities.
    • Coordinating, tracking, and supporting accounting activities such as on bill paying, tracking and filing invoices and bills, and payment of taxes on an ongoing basis.
    • Maintains point of service system to accurately track on-premise sales and tax accountability in coordination with CEO and Growler Hours Shop Manager.
    • Creates, verifies, and submits various state alcohol tax paperwork both electronically and by hard copy as defined by each state for VA, MD, CT, PA, and other states as needed.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.

    • Adaptability and flexibility.

    • Excellent math ability.
    • Proficiently in using Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
    • Proficiency using an HR management system(s), and preferably ADP Workforce Now.
    • Experience using QuickBooks.
    • Bookkeeping experience.
    • Human Resources experience and/or professional HR certification is desirable.

    DC Brau is offering full-time (40+ hours/week) employment. After evaluative periods, full-time employees are offered benefits including medical, vision and dental insurance, short- and long- term disability insurance, group life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and opportunity to enroll in an employer sponsored retirement savings program. Total compensation depends on experience.
