Cellar person/Shift brewer
Ghostfish Brewing Company, an award-winning brewery located in the heart of Seattle, WA, has an immediate opening for an experienced cellar person/shift brewer.
We operate a 15bbl brewhouse in the SODO neighborhood of Seattle, working exclusively with alternative grains such as millet, rice, and buckwheat.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated person to join our team and assist with producing world-class quality craft beer.
Summary of job position: The cellar person will be responsible for performing all cellar operations including, but not limited to, dry hopping, fining, carbonation, tank CIP & SIP, and packaging in accordance with company SOP’s. Packaging line work as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Product transfers, yeast/trub management, dry-hopping, clarifying and carbing beer, helping ensure cleanliness and organization of work environment, keg cleaning/filling, tank cleaning (CIP) and sanitizing (SIP), assist with canning days, record keeping, etc.
Candidate Qualities:
Likes a challenge, able to work well as part of a team or independently when necessary, able to handle the physical nature of the work, has a strong eye for detail, mechanically included, organized, strong communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Qualifications Desired:
1-year experience working in a production environment (preferably brewery), prior brewing experience, safely lift, move and carry 55lbs+, forklift certification, flexible schedule, passion for quality craft beer.
Candidate will be expected to transition into shift brewing in the near future.
Compensation/Salary is commensurate with experience.
