We're looking for a head brewer to run our 15bbl brewhouse. Beer styles will focus on barrel aged, mixed fermentation / sour program and anything else you'd like to play with. We will run small-scale production batches for distribution, but the main focus will be on barrel aged, sour and exotic beers. Experience working at a brewery with a similiar focus is a major plus.
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
At least three years of commercial brewing experience is preferred
Ability to think critically and work unsupervised
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems
Ability to maintain detailed documentation Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
Supervising other brewers
Raw ingredient receiving/management
Creating brewery SOPs
Wort production Yeast pitching/management
Fermentation management
All cellar work including barrel Keg filling Tank cleaning and sanitation
Brewhouse cleaning and general maintenance/repair
Cellar and cold box cleaning More cleaning
The candidate must be willing to work nights/ weekends.
