POSITION: Taproom Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
Asheville craft brewery is looking for a taproom manager. The ideal candidate will be self-starter and well-suited to not only manage a team of servers, but to grow all of the revenue streams available to the taproom.
This is a full-time salaried position. The selected applicant will work closely with all of the departments to manage and grow the taproom.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hire, train and manage taproom staff
- Oversee revenue and profitability of the taproom
- Collaborate with other departments to create a dynamic and relevant taproom experience
- Remain up to date on local and national industry trends and opportunities
- Maintain a clean, friendly and welcoming environment for all guests at all times
- Manage merchandise offerings and inventory
- Manage and coordinate all taproom special events
- Proactively manage taproom improvements that align with overall brewery vision
- Ability to move kegs, clean draft lines and operate a hand truck
- Other duties as assigned
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous brewery or craft beer experience preferred
- Taproom management experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of and interest in the craft beer industry
- Proven success in a retail/restaurant environment
- Ability to interact professionally and effectively with employees and the general public.
- The ability to proactively identify problems and potential solutions
- Events planning and coordination experience
- Time management and schedule management
Salary will be determined by experience, starting at $30,000 annually. Additionally, we offer the opportunity to participate in additional benefits including paid vacation, performance based bonuses and other lifestyle perks.
