We are looking for a Head Brewer / Brewmaster to take our beer quality to new heights. The Head Brewer / Brewmaster is responsible for the overall quality of beer and safety of brewing operations.
Job duties:
• Complete brewing process in a safe and professional manner
• Oversee, supervise, and train other brewers and cellar men
• Work closely with brewing team to achieve desired quality and production targets
• Oversee inventory and quality management of raw materials
• Work and communicate with others throughout the brewing, racking and packaging process
• Other duties as assigned throughout the brewery to assist other departments as needed to accomplish organizational goals
Skills/Qualifications:
• Strong technical knowledge of brewing, fermentation and the finishing stage of beer production
• Attention to detail and patience for brewing process to achieve high standards of quality
• OSHA safety training/education
• Experience managing a Barrel-Aging program and hop contracts
• Fermentation/Brewing degree or certificate from an accredited college e.g. IBD or Siebel Institute preferred
• Brewing industry experience, production experience is preferred
• Flexible work schedule
• Ability to work in and lead teams
