JOB SUMMARY
Cascade Brewing is seeking a full-time cellar person to work in the day-to-day operations of our sour beer blending facility in Beaverton, Oregon.
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
• CIP tanks, hoses and fittings
• Beer transfers to/from tanks and barrels
• Barrel prepping/cleaning/maintenance/tagging
• Beer carbonation and keg filling
• Filtration
• Fruit/ingredient processing
• General facility cleaning/maintenance
• Packaging line operation
• Record keeping
• Sensory evaluation
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:
• 1-3 years of experience in brewery, winery or other food/beverage production
• Education in brewing science program (A.B.G., Siebel, UC Davis, etc.)
• Experience working with mixed culture fermentations
• Understanding of chemicals, gases, pressures and temperatures as related to cellar operations
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills
• Basic knowledge of sensory evaluation
• Experience operating forklift and pallet jack
• Knowledge of safety protocol in cellar work environment
• Critical thinking, organization, communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet for entire shift
