Job Type: Full-Time, Salary (exempt)
Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday
Pay Range: 40-50k/annually, COE

Upstart is presently selling throughout the region in grocery store chains and independent brick and mortars, alike.

Responsibilities:
Support Upstart Kombucha’s vision, mission and values
Maintain organization and cleanliness within all areas of the warehouse and cold storage
Promotes an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork within the department and company
Actively participates in a continuous improvement of culture
Follows and develops standard operating procedures
Creates and assists in the development (including recipe formulations) of new brands, products, and collaborations
Assesses and ensures quality and consistency of existing core brands at all times
Innovates new approaches through process or use of new raw materials in order to increase quality/stability of existing/future brands
Sources and assesses raw materials for core brands and future brands to maximize resources
Handles all shipping and receiving processes, including but not limited to distributor and direct orders, sample requests, etc.
Processes orders (from production to delivery and payment) in a timely manner as agreed to by vendors and distributor partners
Keeps in-depth and detailed production reporting and inventory management documenting each production day including but not limited to brew's completed, materials lost, bottles produced, and time spent on bottling line
Performs inspection of product including but not limited to review for completeness, label check, taste, and visual inspection of final product
Collect samples from production lines on a regular basis for testing
Inspect various incoming products and raw materials. Identify and control non-conforming materials
Perform all operational processes in brewery including working production line, brewing product from start to end, and maintaining a clean workplace
Manages administrative work including but not limited to, documenting each production day including brew's completed, materials lost, bottles produced, and time spent on bottling line.
Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cleaning duties to ensure top notch facility condition
Repairs and maintains equipment
Manages production team and schedule
Manages and takes total ownership over inventory and forecasting, in coordination with the sales team
Takes lead in obtaining and maintaining certifications
Works in accordance to HAACP plan and within FDA regulations
Qualifications
2 + years of brewing and/or RTD experience
Strong mechanical skills
Bachelors desired, preferably with emphasis in brewing or food sciences
Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays (as needed)
Certified in forklift operation
Management of processes and people experience preferred
Proficient in Google Suites
Physical Requirements:
Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Ability to lift 60# bags and up to 75# using traditional methods
Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions and work in extreme cold and heat
Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts
Ability to work in a moderate noise level
