A Cellar person at Santa Fe Brewing Co. is responsible for tank cleaning, running of centrifuge, filtering, dry hopping and general cleaning duties. As a part of a quickly growing production facility, a Cellar person must also be constantly seeking ways to improve speed, efficiency and safety. While we strive to maintain a fun and friendly environment, Cellar person must also set the tone with a high level of professional conduct and attitude.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and purges tanks
• Yeast drops and storage tote management
• Carbonation and dissolved oxygen monitoring
• Effectively communicate mechanical and process issues with Management
• Basic beer movements - empty and fill tanks, transfer beer
• Ensures work area is clean and well organized
• Ensures tank exteriors are cleaned regularly
• Ensures equipment is maintained and kept in good working order
• Filters/Centrifuges and carbonates beer as required
• Ensure appropriate samples are taken for Quality Assurance Our Ideal Candidate
• Should have a strong focus on quality, safety and efficiency
• Good communication skills
• Flexible hours, weekends and night shift availability
• Attention to detail is a must
• Ability to follow complex instructions and adhere to them
• Ability to work around extreme noise levels
• Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms as well as stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to frequently and safely lift and/or move up to 165 pounds
• Ability to be frequently exposed to wet conditions
• Frequently exposed to strong and sometimes disagreeable odors and occasionally exposed to dangerous chemicals
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts
• Positive, get it done no matter what attitude
