Growing, established award winning brewery located in Southern Ca. We are expanding out of state. We are looking for a Head Brewer to oversee both operations:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Creating a cutting edge beer program; sours, wood aged, core beers.
Creating brewing schedules weekely, monthly, seasonally and yearly
Support of day-to-day tasting room operations
Operate automated Brewhouse from grain handling to wort cooling.
Monitor fermentations-check gravities, identify irregularities, record data, dry hopping
Complete beer transfers: check product for readiness, set up, transfer and cleanup according to SOP.
Run Filtration: Setup and pre-coat, follow SOP to meet quality specifications; ensure proper operation, CIP and sanitization.
Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
Complete tank cleaning and tank sanitization.
Use proper safety equipment and personal protection equipment.
Communicate low level inventory of all items used.
Ensure that safety procedures are adhered to
Communicate regularly and efficiently with TapRoom, Asst Brewers, Sales Staff.
Communicate a positive attitude, sincere interest, and interact in a positive way with management and staff
Assisting with on site and off site events as need dictates including beer tours and private events
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years professional brew experience
Understanding of the complete brew process

Meticulous attention to CIP and Santitation
