We're not open yet, (July hopefully) so keep in mind that this question is being asked by someone who has never worked in a brewery before.
People are contacting us about the potential of employment at our brewery. While we're planning to stick to friends/family for as long as possible, we know that can't last very long. We're at least reviewing the emails we get from people who are interested in working for us.
Here's my question: what's the legality of having someone under the age of 21 as a brewer and/or intern? We have someone who's 19 and studying brewing that's interested in working for us. It doesn't make sense for us now, but we're curious about whether it would ever be right.
On a side note, how stupid is it that a 19 year old can study brewing but not drink legally?
