Windmills Brewery & Restaurant is opening soon in The Colony, TX and is in need of a qualified brewer to aid in daily operations. As an anchor tenant of the Grandscape mixed-use development, Windmills plan to produce some of the highest quality ales & lagers in North Texas for a diverse and discerning clientele.
Job Summary:
Assist with all brewery operations including various aspects of the brewing and packaging process.
Job Duties:
CIP and sanitization of fermentation and conditioning tanks.
Wort production.
Shipping/Receiving.
General cleaning.
Assist in sales efforts as needed and assigned.
Represent Windmills at events, festivals, and promotions.
Work overtime and weekends as required.
Roles and responsibilities:
Assist in producing and packaging world class quality beer.
Provide top notch service to all customers.
Assist in support of taproom staff as it relates to beer and brewery education.
Represent Windmills in a professional manner at all times.
Job Qualifications:
1+ year brewery experience required.
Understanding of fermentation science and the elements of brewing.
Understanding of brewing practices.
Troubleshoot and solve problems related to product and/or equipment.
Candidate with lab experience preferred, but not required.
Honest and trustworthy.
Positive attitude.
Lift up to 55 lbs. Move up to 165 lbs.
Occasional repetitive motion and bending required as it relates to maintenance and production needs.
Manual labor required daily.
Work on and around potentially dangerous equipment/machinery.
Work in an environment with high noise levels.
Work in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time.
Some international travel required.
Current driver’s license with clean record (or can get one).
Able to work well in a team environment.
Desire to learn, grow, and take on increased responsibility.
High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
