Malai Kitchen is hiring a Head Brewer to operate our 5bbl brewhouse at our restaurant in Southlake, TX. Malai Kitchen is a small chain of brewpubs serving southeast Asian food paired with craft-brewed beers. The brewery is located in Southlake and the other two restaurants are located in Dallas and Fort Worth.

- Someone with at least 2 years experience creating, brewing, cellaring, and promoting outstanding, fun, diverse beers
- Someone who can handle working in a fast paced environment and still maintain attention to detail
- Must be able to manage inventory, yeast, and raw materials
- Must have knowledge and skills necessary to create a diverse group of beers
Responsibilities:
- Brew 5 year-round beers to keep up with inventory
- Cellar beers on a daily basis
- CIP and sanitize all vessels
- Keg and organize beer inventory
- Create recipes for new beers
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Take meticulous notes and records on every aspect of the brewing process every time
- Communicate with the rest of the team about releases, plans, and projects
- Minimum of 2 years of professional brewing experience.
- Formal brewing education preferred and recipe formulation experience necessary
- Demonstrated experience in brewing high quality beers
- Desire to take ownership of the beer program in its entirety at Malai Kitchen
