Overflow Brewing Company is a cutting edge craft brewery characterized by its distinct brand, quality products and true authentic service standards. Our mandate is to produce and serve beer that appeals to a variety of palates and exceeds consumer expectations. Our company is committed to product superiority and value in this increasingly competitive craft beer market.
Overflow’s brewery and taproom provide craft beer enthusiasts and trialing customers alike with an opportunity to enjoy our standard in-house brews, sample fresh new choices, order from our vast menu of beer infused specialty drinks as well as a variety of standard cocktails and beverages. The unique and versatile space will accommodate up to 500 customers and is host to a variety of events throughout the year. An on-site kitchen conveniently offers Overflow customers a vast menu of food choices to enjoy in the warm and inviting atmosphere of our taproom.
What we are looking for
Overflow is striving to establish a dynamic team enthusiastic about the products they are representing. Influencing brand loyalty is top priority. As our identity will be shaped through the passion we exude, we are reaching out to individuals with a true love for the craft beer industry and an interest in playing a key role in further advancing our new company in this invigorating market. If you are driven by individualism and interested in growing within our energetic company, this role is for you!
Overflow is searching for a committed Brewer expected to handle the day-to-day operations of brewery operations while working with our Head Brewer. As a Brewer for our company, you will play an active role in promoting and strengthening our business.
This has been a very unique and challenging year, but with that, we have been fortunate enough to see enough growth to need to bring in another Brewer. We are looking for someone to support, and take direction from, the Head Brewer in all aspects of the brewery, including:
-grain handling
-wort production
-cellaring
-tank cleaning
-yeast handling
-carbonating
-kegging
-keg cleaning
-canning
-shipping and receiving
-future beer events
Pending future growth it could also include lab work and recipe formulation on the pilot system.
Applicants should have the following abilities/ competencies-
-ability to repeatedly lift 25kg
-WHMIS training
-forklift familiarity
-effective communication and problem solving
-one year professional brewing experience
-Professional brewing education/ certification
This will be a full time salaried position (salary to be commensurate with experience) that will also include, paid vacation, access to a health spending account, a beer allowance, and when there isn’t a pandemic, access to concerts in our awesome taproom.
