    Carnival Cruise Line is looking for shipboard Brewers!

    Are you interested in traveling to some of the most beautiful destinations in the world, while crafting world-class beer along the way? Carnival Cruise Line is looking for experienced, detail-oriented brewers to join our on board Brewing Team as we continue to grow our fleet of brewery ships. We currently have three brewery ships with a fourth on the way.

    Carnival Vista, Carnival Horizon, and Carnival Panorama :
    -a 2-vessel, 3.5 hL glass brewhouse from Albrecht Brautechnik
    -8 double batch FVs, 3 double SVs
    -Four branded cores styles, and rotating seasonals
    On-ship 100-seat brewpub, with multiple satellite service bars

    On board Vista, the brewery is a part of the Red Frog Pub & Brewery. On Carnival Horizon and Carnival Panorama, the brewpub concept is Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse | Brewhouse (in partnership with celebrity chef Guy Fieri).

    This is a full-time, shipboard, salaried position as Brewer covering all facets of the brewing process from grain to glass. We’re looking for experienced brewers who can drive quality and consistency, providing a well-rounded portfolio of beers in a safe, reliable, and secure environment. This is also a guest-facing position, so passion, communication, and positive attitude are key. The Brewer reports to Carnival’s Brewmaster and works with the shipboard Beverage Operations Manager as part of the Beverage Department.


    Candidates must meet the following requirements:
    -Ability to commit to 6-8 month shipboard contract
    -Minimum 2 years professional brewing experience
    -Formal brewing education or BS in applicable field is preferred
    -Ability to work well independently and in a diverse team settings
    -Physically fit to operate in production brewing environment
    -Must be able to pass shipboard medical exam which includes physical and drug screening
    -Ability to repeatedly lift 55lbs
    -Strong work ethic and ability to multitask
    -Attention to detail and ability to follow established SOPs
    -Solid understanding of the hard sciences underlying the brewing process
    -Experience with basic brewing analytical instrumentation
    -Understanding and ability to perform basic brewing calculations
    -Proficiency with basic Microsoft Office functions

    What an interesting concept, brewery at sea! No different than my current brewing situation....I brew in a glass room in full view of brewery guests. Sounds like a lot of fun!
