    Tin Whiskers is on a mission to make ARTFULLY ENGINEERED beers, and is an inclusive place for beer nerds and newcomers alike. Offering 16+ craft beer options from traditional to inventive styles, including year-round beers, pilot batches, and even gluten-free hard seltzer, our Lowertown taproom is the perfect place to meet friends, play games, or grab a drink before any Downtown event. Our beers are also available in 4-pack, 16oz cans at most retailers across the major metro area.

    Job Summary:

    Tin Whiskers is looking for a FULL-TIME Brewer to join our team.

    This position will report directly to the Head Brewer. A Brewer participates in all facets of brewhouse and cellar operations and including but not limited to fermentation management, keg cleaning, packaging of beer in kegs and bottles, CIP and maintenance of all tanks, and beer transfers, brewing.

    Qualifications:
    • Be 21 years of age or older
    • 1 year or more experience in a production/packaging/cellar role in a brewery
    • Possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members in a collaborative environment
    • Have a desire to learn new things and grow with the company
    • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills
    • Must be competent with MS Office
    • Must have excellent time management

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Package kegs, 16oz cans, 12oz cans, 750mL crowlers, and 750mL bottles
    • Daily Quality Control/Quality Assurance
    • Daily Gravity checks and recording
    • Brewhouse, Fermenter and Brite tank CIP and maintenance according to company SOPs
    • Brewing beer per the recipe and SOPs
    • Moving packaged product to coolers
    • Cleaning kegs and safely operating the keg washer
    • Performing beer transfers from one tank to another
    • Cleaning and prepping tanks
    • Handling raw materials in a clean and safe manner
    • Communicate efficiently with all staff and management
    • Maintain paperwork in an accurate and timely manner
    • Perform quality control and quality assurance testing
    • Actively find improvements for the beer and our processes
    • Operating our GEA centrifuge- training will be provided.
    • Adhere to Safe Practices at all times and always use personal protective equipment
    • Attendance at events and beerfests
    • Updating our brewery management software (Ekos) according to our processes. Training is provided.
    • Must be able to lift 55 lbs and move 165 lb kegs
    • Must be able to stand for 8-10 hours per day

    Benefits:

    This position is full time (40hrs/week with occasional over time) and is paid hourly. Compensation is $16-20/hr depending on past experience.

    Position is eligible for the following benefites:
